    My 8 year old son has been learning to surf with Anthony for the past couple of years. Last year we organised a group of Rafa and his friends to join a summer holiday surf camp which was absolutely fantastic. It ran all summer, 3 days per week - the kids couldn't wait to jump in the water! Antony has an amazing rapport with children and they love to be around him. He makes their experiences educational and fun at the same time. Antony is an all around experienced water man, so when the surf is not up the kids would go coasteering which they also loved. With safety helmets, life jackets and rock shoes they would go off for a good 1.5 hours learning how to safely navigate the coastline of Big Wave Bay to Shek O and learning safe places to jump into the water. Rafa again can't wait for the summer holidays so he can join the surf summer camp!!

    Antony Dickson has been my Indonesian, Hawaiian and elsewhere surf partner on at least one trip a year for the past 19 years for good reason: He is always challenging himself and those around him to push their limits yet his enthusiasm is always tempered by a belief of keeping safety of paramount importance - he's always the first to offer help in critical conditions when a leash or board snaps. His smooth, powerful and emminently competent surfing style excels in waves waist-high to triple overhead but he's much more than a surfer. Antony's passion for the ocean runs deep and he surf skis, dives and is a third generation competitive swimmer. I witnessed his tenacity firsthand providing paddle support in a surf ski when he finished fourth in a 15km open ocean race, HK's most prestigious event of its kind, all while solo'ing against relay teams of four. Antony has accrued vast knowledge on preparation and water safety on his global surf sojourns and more importantly, he enjoys sharing it. Combined with swim and paddle techniques and tips, he is much more than just a surf instructor.

    When I had my lesson the waves were quite large so the instructor insisted that we needed one instructor per student for safety. It was really fun but I felt safe, and after a few waves I managed to stand up and ride all the way to the beach. After this lesson, I continued practicing surfing, and now I get in the water as often as I can. Excellent job Antony!
